We wanted a wreath that still meant something. So we put the Nativity back at the centre of it.
Most Christmas wreaths are decoration. Pretty enough, and forgotten by January.
This one is built the other way round — the Holy Family first, a lantern set beside them, and everything else arranged outward from there. Spruce and holly, clusters of red berries, pinecones, deep red ornaments, a full bow at the base.
When the porch light goes off and the LEDs come on, the lantern and the halos are what you see from the path. That is the whole point of it.
